As we wait to see the full effects of Brexit take hold, London keeps growing, and over recent decades, the capital’s population has reached uncharted levels. Birth rates continue to accelerate, citizens are living longer, and more and more people still look to move to the capital for work. If we continue to grow at this pace, we’ll hit 10 million people before 2030—a figure that brings many challenges.

Project Spotlight: Building a Better Block with Better Block

At the edge of Dallas’ Bishop Arts District, what was once an unremarkable, unvisited concrete corner is now a lush, welcoming neighborhood hangout. The hub of this activity is the new Better Block headquarters. Part office, part co-working space, part venue and part maker-space, the new headquarters is a flexible collision of diverse programs, a synthesis of urban design experimentation and community hub.

LA Forward: Embracing the Future of Mobility

Ask anyone who lives in, or has visited Los Angeles, and they’ll tell you their least favorite part of our city is the traffic. We agree; it’s one of our city’s great challenges. Los Angeles has recovered from the great recession of 2008 and we see tremendous growth physically and economically. The issue is that recent development has tended to spread jobs and housing across the city, away from transit, limiting our ability to efficiently and easily move around Los Angeles.
