Three years ago I joined a virtual team. Our client’s company had instituted a travel freeze for all employees and consultants. Together we would design and implement over 100 projects with all communication and collaboration over voicemail, email, screen shares and video conference.

Many of my client-side teammates were mobile employees and were very familiar with the art of virtual teams. They taught me a new literacy...a literacy that I now know is an essential contemporary business skill and quite possibly represents a necessary evolutionary step our species needs to take.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to share what I learned and explain the connection to evolution at a TEDx event at Bowling Green University on September 16th.
